Guardian, A Fated Pairing Coming April 13th

Coming April 13th! The Cover was designed by Rue Volley and it was edited by Victoria Shockley.

Vampires are on the brink of disappearing. Their numbers in the low thousands hidden all over the world. After years of searching for the cure to turn humans into their kind, one vampire believes he has done it! But in creating the cure he has started a bloody and desperate hunt. A race among animals, vampires and wolves, to find the cure and either destroy it, or use it.

Alisa Chamberlin as three jobs: Keep her sister safe, find Mr. Holiday, and stay alive. With a strong vampire hot on their heels Alisa's life can't get more complicated until a werewolf named Peter Woodrow shows up in her neck of the neighborhood, but this isn't a chance meeting. Peter has been hired as a Guardian to protect her, the only problem is, she's a vampire. She's a creature his kind hopes to one day make extinct and to top it all off he's certain she's his mate, but that can't be. A vampire's blood is sickening to a werewolf and goes against everything their kind believes in.

As Peter tries to keep an unwilling Alisa safe he begins to unravel the web of secrets surrounding her and why she is being hunted, but is what she protects worth the life of the one man she is destined to be with? And can he get over the fact that she is everything he hates long enough to realize she's just what he needs? Or will the sacrifice be too great in the end for either of them?

It's an adult Paranormal Romance (rated R) that I had worked on as my NaNoWriMo last year and finally I have gotten it as perfect as I think I can get it. I can't wait for your reviews and comments and I will probably continue to lose sleep for the first couple of days after it's release, but I hope you all will enjoy it as much as I have writing it!

The Next Big Thing Blog Hop

I’m very happy to be included in this Blog hop! It’s the first time for me to do anything like this and I’m happy to participate. I was tagged by the wonderful Author Diana Nixon (website). I tagged Leesia Champion to continue the blog and post on December 26.

1.) What is the working title of your book?
The title I’m going to use for the book I’m working on at the moment is ‘Guardian, A Fated Pairing.'
2.) Where did the idea come from for the book?
Mary Winstead as Alisa
The idea of this book came actually shortly after I began work on my family Genealogy. We discovered a small cemetery where many of my family members were buried. Within this cemetery we discovered a plaque with the name of the first name presumed buried there by the name Mr. Holiday. I fell in love with the man without a first name whose life was lived out in a place called ‘No man’s land’. Though my main focus wasn't so much about him, but about the character Emilie, peter, and Alisa I still drew on this mysterious person for inspiration hence why he is mentioned and vital throughout the book. Mr. Holiday is what started it all for this story.
Alona Tal as Emilie
3.) What genre does your book fall under?
This book would fall in the adult paranormal romance and fantasy genres. Yes children this book is 18 and older. I don’t normally write sexual scenes, but I think everyone will get a bit of enjoyment out of them. ;)
4.) Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie?
Alisa-Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Emilie-Alona Tal, Peter-Alex Pettyfer, and  Gates-Michael Rosenbaum. Their pictures are floating around the blog.
5.) What is a one sentence synopsis of your book?
It’s a book about overcoming differences and finding love.
6.) Will your book be self-published of represented by an agency?
My book will be self-published and found on Amazon. I've done my first two books that way and I seem to be alright. why stop now? :)
7.) How long did it take you to write the first draft to your manuscript?
I wrote the very first draft in about twenty days or so for my NaNoWriMo this past November.
8.) What other books would you compare this too within the genre?
I would hope you couldn't really compare my works to others. I want them to stand only from what other people write, but I can't be the true judge of that. I'll leave that for the readers to decide.
Alex Pettyfer as Peter
9.) Who or what inspired you to write this book?
I guess the thanks would go to my family since I was working on genealogy when I found the cemetery with Mr. Holiday's burial mound. So a big thanks to my wonderful family and all my ancestors!
10.) What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?
Cryer Cemetery is real. Leesville is real. I tried to use pieces of myself and parts of my home to create this world for Alisa and Peter. Of course, I embellished details to keep it within the realm of fiction. And before anyone asks I did not go grave digging as fun as that sounds. :)

You can find out more about me, Brenda Franklin, and all my works on Amazon, Facebook, and Twitter. have a great day.
