I live and breathe vampires. My interruption of vampires varies
from story to story. The version that I am going to discuss is from my Pulse
Series: A Steady Pulse and Barley Beating
Their diet:
Blood is the most
obvious answer, but they also ingest normal people food. They have
taste buds like any other person. My lead vampire, Virgil Hart, loves eating
puff pastries from E-Z Treats.
It may not be a necessity that they eat, but they can
take enjoyment from the simple pleasure. They drink a regular diet of
blood which can be received from vampire blood banks located all over
the world, but Garrison and Virgil tend to make hunting trips together to kill
wildlife from time to time. They drain the animal, skin it, and give the meat
to anyone that wants it.
Day and Night:
The sun does not
damage them to the extent that most people would think, but after hours of pure
exposure they can receive a bit of a burn. Nighttime is the best time
for them to run around without the threat of being seen hunting, eating, or
displaying other unnatural qualities. They also spend a few hours every
couple of days sleeping to regenerate themselves.
Vampire banking takes place over the phone. The main buildings are
located in London, New York, and Canada. This is the easiest form of keeping
track of their money without having to change names all the times or switch between
human banks.
I'll put up more later about The Council, the Origins of my vampires from Pulse, and about the vampires themselves which play a large role in my works.
