Finding her past was supposed to end the nightmare. Only it was just the beginning. Entrusting the fate of the world, not to mention her and Isaiah’s life to a father she’s never met is a big leap of faith on Fallon’s part. But it’s a necessary risk. Ashton is the key to protecting Isaiah and keeping her out of Garrison’s clutches. He is also the only one who can tell her what she is, except what she learns is that she is from a world that is far more dangerous than anyone could possibly imagine. As her powers grow out of control, Fallon must pick between her mortality and a legacy that does not include Isaiah. She must summon the courage to face a destiny that will test the boundaries of everything she has ever known. But most of all, she must protect Isaiah from the monster within herself and trust the man whose toxic blood runs through her veins. Danger builds as power clashes between two evils, both seeking her to tip the scales to eternal darkness and suffering. Can humanity rise to face an ancient calling to which Fallon is powerless to stop? Can she protect those she cares about, or will their blood forever stain her hands?

FallingForHope

Book Blurb/Synopsis-
Hope is an eccentric librarian who lives with her five cats and loves to spend her time fantasizing about living in a world of shape shifters, vampires, and fairies. Although the existence of a paranormal world is far from Hope’s reality, she can’t help but sense there’s something different about the mysterious man lurking in her library.

Gabriel is God’s Strength, the Messenger, who’s been tasked with delivering the Word for millennia. His most recent assignment will be his last, to fall in love and become human. But he can’t quite figure out what he’s done to displease the Boss. Gabriel’s latest assignment might be the hardest, but this gorgeous rubenesque quirk of a woman definitely has him intrigued.

God’s Four Winds are his most trusted archangels: Uriel, Raphael, Gabriel, and Michael. Follow their adventures in “falling” as they each discover their chosen one and what it means to be human. Along the way, the Deceiver, who’s been cast down, only wants what his “brothers” have, and will stop at nothing to foil his Father’s plans.

Falling for Hope is book three in the Four Winds series, but they are all stand-alone novels.

TOUR-EXCERPT

The next morning, Hope was watching her feet as she climbed the steps to the library. She cursed to herself as she tasted the tangy-sweet saliva in her mouth again. Maybe it was some sort of building issue? She'd never heard of asbestos making people taste funny things, but she'd be sure to ask the other employees today, just in case.
As she neared the top of the stairs, Hope felt the prickly feeling yet again, and her gaze rose to the man standing in front of the library doors waiting.
"Aren't the doors open?" She tried to sound solicitous, but the truth of the matter was, this guy took her breath away. It was the man that had watched her all day yesterday.
"Yes, but I won't be staying today." The low rumble of his voice greeted her a cheery good morning unlike anything else she could ask for. Just the sound of his voice made her day perfect.
"Oh." Disappointed that he wouldn't be in her little room of the library bit through the fog of his voice.
"Come to dinner with me tonight."
Shocked speechless, she stared at him. He had an air of expectation about him, and his forehead crinkled in thought at the same time that she heard his luxurious voice rumble inside her head.
Come. Say yes. His sexy-as-sin voice resonated inside her head.
Hope's eyes darted around, making sure there wasn't anybody else who could have done that, before she looked back up at him. "You don't have to use the force on me. I'm thinking. I was just taken by surprise, is all."
Both of his eyebrows rose, almost to his hairline and his eyes widened in surprise. "You heard that?"
"Didn't you mean for me to?" She countered, putting a hand on her hip.
His face remained impassive. "Well…yes. But usually it's not so obvious." His tone of voice suggested he wasn’t expecting Hope to call him on his little trick, and seeing that gave her a little boost of confidence.
"You go around using Jedi mind tricks on women to get dates often?"
He chuckled, and his eyes dropped to the ground. "No. I've never done it for a date, no."
Hope's eyes roamed his body from his feet, clad in shiny leather loafers, up his gray woolen slacks (Hello, Fifty), to the black sweater vest he wore over a white long-sleeved button down shirt, open at the collar. His face held strong features: a square jaw with a small dimple in the middle, high, obscenely high cheekbones, a rather large mouth that made her mind travel to erotic places, and those eyes… The man exuded a strength that wasn’t visible. Well, it was visible, he looked like his muscles had muscles, but he had an air of intense power and vigor about him that told Hope he expected people to do what he said. Often.
Then her eyes traveled to herself. She had worn black dress pants today, with a shirt that actually sort of fit her large breasts, although it showed a little more cleavage than she was comfortable with. Hope looked at him again, and his eyes held the question. What was her answer?
"Why?"
The question in his eyes turned to surprise. Apparently, this guy didn't get questioned very often. An image flitted through her mind, the two of them together at a table, lit with candles, Hope's head thrown back in laughter.
She narrowed her eyes at him. "Did you do that, too?"
He had the grace to look sheepish. "Will you go to dinner with me?"
"No."
His head snapped up, and his mouth fell open. "Why not?"
"Because I'm having dinner with my parents tonight. But you didn't answer my question? Why do you want to take me out?"
It was his turn to peruse her. His eyes started at her feet, and slowly worked their way up her body. By the time they reached her face, Hope was squirming. "Why not?" The timbre of his voice washed over her, like it had yesterday, and Hope actually felt her breasts get heavier, as if they were swelling out of her bra.
Why not, indeed?
"Okay, my lunch is from one to two."
"I'll pick you up here, then? At one o'clock?"

Hope nodded, suddenly speechless again, unable to look away as he turned his long, lean frame and deftly descended the steps. Suppressing the urge to do a happy dance, lest he turn around and catch her, she scurried inside the library.

Review!!
~4/5~
This short story is a fast read.

Let’s talk about the bad. A few things that got to me was pace in which your two main characters ‘hooked up’ if you will. One moment Gabe is sending thoughts into Hope’s head, the next she is completely accepting it like it’s a normal occurrence. I understand that she is a librarian who lives with her head in the clouds (and this is a work of fiction), but if some sexy man came up to me and pushed a thought into my mind I would have to reevaluate my sanity. And after a very, very short exchange of words she’s going out on a lunch date with him. No name, no real arguing, and no wondering if he is a stalker (no matter how sexy I ain’t going on a date with some random man I just met.). Granted, after all is said and done with, and Gabe shows up the next day, Hope wises up and wants to learn more about him. So I’ll let those slid.

Now, on to the good stuff!

I think the best thing about Hope is that I can kind of see myself. All the cats, the life style-to some degree. Is that scary? But that’s as far as the similarities go. Hope is stuck in a rough place after having lost her sister some time ago and in the course her relationship isn’t the best with her parents. I mean it’s good, but not what it should be when it comes to talking about her sister. Then Gabe comes in and begins to mend things. He really is a saving Grace and makes her content life become truly happy.

I’m a sucker for a sexy guy and Gabe is right up there. He’s an angel having been sent on a heck of a mission, fall for Hope. And what I love most is as you read Gabe begins to change. He starts to feel things we are used to, but they are not at all familiar to him and you can see that by his reactions. When his muscles start to get sore in the library he actually has to get up and walk around. Totally new to him. So I definitely love what the author has done with him and the overall concept to this story.

My favorite lines:

“…One: I’m wooing you, and as the wooer, I should meet the wooee’s parents.
Two: If your mother sees you being wooed, she might leave you alone about the rest.
And three: I think you’re beautiful as you are, and I just might tell your mother that.”

Gabe continues to say:

“I’m making a humorous play on the word woo, which you seem to enjoy so much, but I’m deadly serious about the actual plan of action.”

This is a very interesting story and being that it was so easy and fast I just might have to get to know the other men and their stories with Falling for Heaven and Falling for Grace.

Dasheen cannot remember the events of the night her world is destroyed, but she feels inside that she is innocent; due to lack of evidence against her and with no other family; Dasheen and her younger brother Jordan, are sent to the elusive and mysterious Ame’ Academy ; a residential school where all is not what it appears. There all goes well, until Jordan, begins to become distant and behave strangely as if he is afraid of something or someone. Jordan is transferred to Ame’ Academy’s Night School track, which is usually only open to special cases. In order to discover what is happening with her brother, Dasheen is finally allowed to also transfer, attending classes in the evening while the rest of the world sleeps. Soon Dasheen’s world changes again as she discovers that things out of fairytales and horror stories exist, that she has ancient powers and is the major player in a mystical prophecy; and then she falls in love with a boy, whose mission is to see that she is destroyed before her destiny is fulfilled…
Kindred (Night School Vampire Hunter Trilogy) Novella#2
The Kindred is the second novella in The Night School Vampire Hunter trilogy.
Angel and her friends at Ame Academy, a boarding school for preternatural and humans are back, and they are preparing for battle against the dark forces that kidnapped Angel’s younger brother Jordan. Angel had recently discovered that she was a Hunter and that she alone has a special weapon against her enemies, her blood, which is discovered to be toxic to her enemies. Angel is prepared to use her training and all that is at her disposal in order to save Jordan, even if that means joining forces with the strange and mysterious Rafael, who at their first meeting, she recognized him as the boy she had dreamed about for weeks prior to his arrival at the school. Angel cannot shake the feeling that she knew Rafael before, and is hopelessly drawn to her extremely handsome fellow hunter.
Rafael frightens her, he hints of a secret; another time and another life lived.
Can love survive two lifetimes?
Events unfold that provides the answers to who Rafael really is and what they mean to one another; and along with these strange and blossoming emotions for Rafael, along with guilt and fear for her brothers safety; Angel discovers that she is more than just a Vampire Hunter, and that she plays a major role in a ancient prophecy, which she must fulfill by facing a force so evil that survival is not promised.
But she will face the Dark One, Angel will sacrifice all, if it means saving all whom she loves.
Many questions are answered, but the drama is just beginning…
Redemption (Night School Vampire Hunter Trilogy) Novella#3
Darkness fell over Ame’ Academy when Angel plummeted into the gaping twilight of the abyss. Ismet, Bella Donna, Elin and Rafael were now left to pick up the pieces.
But those that loved Angel refused to believe she was gone; so the search for her and the truth begins. Plus the clock is counting down; the Beast has escaped its pit and so the group of friends, with the help of unlikely allies must face an ancient evil, and once again face the heartache of losing someone they love, to save the world from destruction once and for all.
The highly anticipated and surprising finale to the Night School Vampire Hunter Trilogy!

SPECIAL FEATURES
The Making of Night School Vampire Hunter Trilogy Michelle Cornwell-Jordan

“Before concentrating on my writing and publishing, I was the Director of an before and after-school program for grades fifth thru eighth grade. The idea to focus my writing and on-line publishing endeavors… combining music and reading… actually stemmed from the kids. I had been repeatedly told by my Center kids, that kids that read do not listen to “cool” music and vice versa, so I wanted to show my kids something different. I launched a blog in January 2011 which interviews and spotlights Musicians and Authors…and I also began an on-line internet radio program called IndieReview Behind The Scenes Internet Radio through Blogtalk in March 2012.
This past November of 2013 we celebrated over 100,000 listens! I have since then acquired a co-host, Author Jamie White and three guest hosts for various segments, and music plays a huge part in all I do. Our goal is to have a platform and bring the readers and music listeners together.
It has become a very successful venture, it which I am very grateful.
Cecile Monique, a very talented music artist #GothRock has been extremely gracious to also take a hold of this vision, has jumped in bringing the vision of Night School Vampire Hunter Trilogy to a new level with her single #Kindred inspired by the second novella in the series.
I believe that a feature such as this, which deals the emerging and thriving on-line Indie community of Musicians and Authors, the local aspect and the Book plus the CD will make for a interesting feature for all ages.”
So for all my kid (readers) past and present…”Books & Cool Music really CAN go together!”

The Pulse Trilogy: Little secrets You may not have known

The Pulse Trilogy

As the writer there are things I love to picture about my characters that may not end up on the page. I can't tall you every piece of food a character likes, all of their life's decisions that led them here, or many other things in which aren't that relevant to the story, but I do try and share a lot. So, here is some information you may not know. Along with little spoilers about what might be to come or said in works not yet revealed. :)

Unknown Piece of Information #1:

Elizabeth’s full name is Elizabeth Ann Parks. Her middle name is a shortened version of her mother’s name.

Unknown Piece of Information #2:

Genealogy:
Elizabeth has two Aunts, six Cousins, and one Second Cousin on the way. All of her family lives within Louisiana except her cousin Ami, who is married to Timothy Sanders. They live in the Fort Worth area in Texas.

Unknown Piece of Information #3:

Bethany’s last name:
She always introduces herself by Bethany Jean. This reason is because Bethany’s family is connected to the Liddell family fortune. Her mother was adopted into the family, but has best tried not to pull her kids into the lime light. Hence why Bethany’s always wearing glamorous outfits and dressing up when she’s not at work. Its apart of her parent’s upbringing. It’s also the reason why her parents aren’t there. They are always away on business or vacationing at one of their many houses. Bethany chose to stay in Alexandria where she found a second family in Elizabeth and her father.

Liddel Family fortune came during the early 1920s, first starting out by investing in small businesses and supporting many flourishing companies. Throughout the years became top twenty wealthiest profiting off of everything from Magazines to furniture stores. Now, they are leading in home decor Magazines with the latest in modern and southern decor. And still today they rank among the top twenty with future goals to integrating Asian style into their company with a new magazine release in hopes a bringing in a fresh crowd and sky rocking them into the Top Ten.

Unknown Piece of Information #4:

Elizabeth’s family is a mix of rebels, Saints, and a couple of Tar heel fans--Elizabeth and her dad being the Tar heel Fans.

Unknown Piece of Information #5:

Elizabeth drives a blue BMW, 2008 Honda Accord when we first meet her in A Steady Pulse, but after getting into a car accident she gets a white 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid.

Unknown Piece of Information #6:

Genealogy:
Martha, Elizabeth’s Aunt, is given the middle name Angeline. This is in honor is Samuel Senior’s (Grandfather to Elizabeth) baby sister who passed away before Martha’s birth.

Unknown Piece of Information #7:

Virgil’s mother moved after receiving the letter saying that her one and only son, Virgil, died in combat and ended up getting remarried. But she always carried with her a picture of Virgil and her first husband in a locket around her neck. She always loved him even though she hated his choice to join the military.

Unknown Piece of Information #8:

Characters like Andrel and Garrison do not have a past to younger vampires because the truths about their lives are in secret. Not many know about the start of vampires and ever fewer survived it. What we see now is only a shell of what was left of the true Vampyre. To be revealed later.

Unknown Piece of Information #9:

Helena Poe was Born in 1825. Reborn 1856
Her father died in a stabbing and her mother married again, but with four new siblings, Helena became invisible and she was forgotten to do with life what she wanted and placed on the streets. So she erased her former life and removed herself of her name. She replaced it with Helen Poe after Lugen-Poe and became a part of the group Les Nabis (post-impressionist avant-garde artists) in France.
She began working under Garrison after William had saved her from hoodlums in the slums on London.

Unknown Piece of Information #10:

Chris Wells, Sarah and Samantha’s brother from A Steady Pulse, hunted and tracked down William. William was impressed with Chris’s thirst for revenge that he used Chris for his own game of revenge even though William was responsible for what happened to Samantha. It was this yearning for the power to kill those responsible that drove Chris to speed up the process and turned him into a monster.

Trust No one story idea in my dreams

I have very structured dreams that assist in giving my some odd story ideas or, in the end, some really good pointers. This piece below is just a taste of what I experience while I am asleep.

Trust No One

It was 12th grade and I was in my final Magic class.

This was it, I thought. This was the final exam before we were done. I would become a full fledged sorceress!

The teacher stepped forward, “and now for your final lesson.” He extended his hand out across the classroom and one by one every other student turned into a monster. They were hideous creatures that sat to my left and right. I and many others jumped from out chairs in panic. “In the world of magic you will never know who is truly good and who is truly evil. You must decide for yourself who to put your trust into throughout life and pick out the illusions. Figure out what’s your enemy and what isn’t. Now,” he clapped his hands as the room shook and students and monsters roared and screamed  knocking chairs and tables over. “Fight to survive!” the teacher boomed and the battles began.

I shoved myself into the back wall as I watched my fellow students pull out weapons. Students fought not only monsters but other students and it was the same for the monsters.

Why were they fighting each other?

It was a horrific sight, as one by one they tore each other to shreds. Was I being a coward to hide against a wall unmoving, no, I was picking my fight wisely.

Was this a trick? Why were their eyes glowing? And all the same color.

A cry from my best friend broke out and I watched as she lay barely able to hold up her blade to defend herself.

Finally I was in motion, sliding a desk out of my way and taking from her hand a sword; lifted it above us both to counter the blade of a fellow student who attacked with wild fear in his eyes before lifting his hand to cast a dangerous spell at us.

I raised my hand to counter and as I did such I felt a cold slice through my shoulder. Distracted, his spell slammed into us with thankfully half its true force and shoved us, along with several others, across the room and into a pile.

My body laid across my friend as the pain grew. She cried and shoved me away forcing me on my back and to see what had happened as others picked themselves up. A dagger laid rooted in my shoulder. She had stabbed. And it hurt like hell!

My friend raised her hand to attack me again. “Wait!” I cried, but she closed her eyes and shot at me a colorful spell which slammed where my body once laid as I rolled out of the way. Instead, it tore at the flesh of another person.

I lifted up and looked across the room.

She couldn’t recognize me. I gasped rising to my feet and still clutching the blade in my left hand. None of them recognized anyone.

I turned into a fast circle with the realization. My classmates, my friends, no one knew they were hurting each other. No one knew they were being killed by their own people.

Bodies laid dead, blood smeared everywhere as one by one fell.

A monster rushed to attack, but I countered with a push spell and bolted at the only thing that hadn’t changed in the room. The only thing that I knew could have caused this and as I approached it willingly opened its arms and accepted what was to come.

I plunged my blade deep into his heart and out the other side of his flesh until his body was touching the hilt and against me.

“Very good.” The teacher gargled, his weight fully laid across me.

The room went silent as the illusion spell faded, but only for a moment. Then the screams started. And I dropped the sword, turned towards the door and away from the bloody mess, pulled the dagger from my shoulder and placed my hand over the wound.

I had passed my final test and learned my final lesson.

Trust no one in the world of Magic.
