EXCERPT

A shadow fell across Julie, waking her up from her nap and a husky voice washed over her. “You’re going to be sorry falling asleep out here. This sun is brutal.” Groggy, she shaded her eyes and looked up at the shadowy figure in awe. “Timmy, is that you? You’re early.” He leaned down, his body still sinewy and strong, and held out his hand to her. Nary a wrinkle marred his matured face. Only a few laugh lines fanned out from his eyes which added to his attractiveness. “You, too. Is that a sign?” She couldn’t help but chuckle. Since when did Tim believe in signs? “A sign?” “That you want to see me, be with me in private, as I want to see you and be with you in private.” She swallowed hard and put her hand in his, her heart somersaulting when they touched for the first time in more than thirty years. A maelstrom of emotion washed over her and she didn’t want to mess up what was probably her last chance to be with him, so she wasn’t about to play coy. Slowly, seductively, she licked her lips. “You read my mind.” As he helped her up his gaze smoldered into her eyes. He dragged her against him and his hard cock rubbed against her. He nipped her ear, then whispered huskily, “Your nipples are puckering against your suit. I’d call that a sign.” Standing on her tip toes, she replied hoarsely, “Your very hard, very hot cock is pressing into my stomach. That’s another sign.” He pressed his lips to hers, not plundering but light enough he was able to speak against them, “Then we should do something about all these signs.”

Friday Favorites

Today I'd love to share with you some of my favorite things I have done/discovered this week.

1.) My husband went out and bought me a Spiderman hoodie and I can't stop wearing it around the house. It's long, baggy, and soft. It's like I'm wear a blanket everywhere I go and I've fallen asleep in it twice so far. Best gift ever! :)

2.) We bought season 9 of Supernatural and I was binge watching. Let me tell you, the last episode will stop your heart!! It was a great one. Crowley is my favorite character at this point. He is amazing.

3.) Playing Diablo 3. This is a fun game and it's something my husband and I can team up without me getting mad or him kicking my butt. I rock this game!

4.) We ordered Fantasy Life and I'm so excited!

5.) Watched the first episode to the new season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

6.) Bought The Amazing Spiderman 2!

Yeah, I think at this point it is almost clear that I'm a geek.

Encore! - Excerpt

#1 It was there one night when I was up on stage in my latex cat suit…my gimmick, my platform a mask, a Venetian masque. Always in one of three colors, purple, hot pink or green. I was an entirely different person as I sang my gut out and played my violin. Yeah you heard me right - violin. That night he stood at the edge of the stage, looking up at me, with a mischievous grin on his face. Mr. Violin Virtuoso himself, Daniel Kennedy. I had noticed him at the club a time or two before. We had studied together in New York years ago. Only now, I could tell he was second guessing who I really was. Who is this woman who can make a violin weep, though not nearly as well as I can. She can, none the less, make the angels shed tears. About half way through my set, I happened to glance down at this dangerously striking man and noticed he was still smiling. He raised his drink. Was it in a mock salute, or was it more? I was too into what I was doing to tell, much less care. I never, ever mingled with the crowd after a show. Not that I wouldn't love to every now and then. No, I was afraid some young drunk jerk would pull off my mask, exposing my identity to the world. Then Archangel would be no more. My requirements for playing in the clubs was a cab ride home and for the owner to escort me to the waiting cab, just in case. Other than that, I played for free. Self promotion at its best. I was putting my violin away when I heard someone behind me. I immediately turned to see who it was. And Daniel Kennedy stood not three feet from me. In my personal space, again. "Where did you learn to play?" he asked. "Around," I replied smugly. "Hmmm, mysterious. I like that. Could I interest you in a drink Ms. Archangel?" "Thank you, but no. I make it a rule to never go out for drinks with clubbers." "Ah, is that what I am?" "Aren't you?" The club owner appeared out of the hallway. "Cab's here. You ready, babe?" I noted Daniel's grimace at the familiarity Jake had used with me. "Yeah, almost," I replied. "Well, Mr. Kennedy, I look forward to seeing you brighten up my audience again soon." I smiled and turned toward the hall. "Who are you?" "Archangel, kind sir." Oh, he was fun. "No, really, who are you? I feel we've met before." "Oh, I bet you say that to all the girl's you try to pick up." I teased, but he wasn't deterred. "What sort of name is Archangel, sweet?" "What sort of name is Kennedy?" I shot back. "I thought you were French. Kennedy is anything but French." "My mother's maiden name, if you must know. My father's name is much too hard for English speaking fans." "Scottish or Irish Kennedy's?" I taunted walking down the hall and towards the back door, my cab, and freedom from this inquisitive and delicious man. "Scottish, why?" "Just curious, that's all." As I reached the door Jake was holding open, I turned and looked down the hall. Daniel had stopped, his arms folded over his chest, his legs wide apart. He was quite a handsome thing with all his bling, tight jeans, T-shirt, and jacket. His face was rough with scruff. And that hair! My God what woman wouldn't die for a head of luscious hair like that? Rather than continue drooling, I blew a crimson-stained kiss in his direction. "This is for you, Mr. Daniel Kennedy." He played along, pretending to catch my kiss in his hand. He closed his hand and placed it over his heart. His smile made my body tingle in places-well in places that it hadn't tingled in quite a long time. Raising my arm as high as it would go, I waved then pivoted on the ball of my foot. "Until next time, Mr. Daniel Kennedy. Good night."

REVIEW:
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars!!

I’ll start off by saying that this is a book series I would recommend reading from the first book, Love Lines. I think you would be a little lost just stepping into the world of Love Lines without a little background, but none the less Diana has done a great job trying to fill you in.
This book is done the POV of my favorite characters!! The wonderful couple Eileen and Christian, and my next two loves, Evan and Amanda. Powerful bonds connect all of these characters.

In the beginning Diana picks up right where we left off, Evan is dying! (SPOILER!) He’s not so much dying as he is evolving. Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes Evan is becoming more powerful and unfortunately Eileen is enduring this transformation with him. Talk about intense. They are pretty much cut off from the outside world and having to endure 12 days of pain, while Eileen catches glimpse of Evan’s past. What could all these dream mean and when he wakes up what powers will he have? Don’t worry though because he’s the same charming, smart ass that we have all come to love so much and those new found powers will come in handy.
During this book I think characters are really developing. I always love Eileen’s strength and courage and love for her friends and now Amanda is working her way up the ladder and into my heart more. But what I didn’t see coming was the end. Talk about pulling my heart strings. It was worth it. It’s always worth it.
Bonds will grow, pasts and connections are made, and a lot is revealed in this installment of the Love Lines Series. It’s a book you don’t want to miss and it makes me feel like I’m reading one of the Harry Potter books, just one isn’t enough. I need them all!
Now, start writing Diana! :)

One of my favorite scenes:
Evan: “why didn’t you come to me?”
(character): “what would I say? Touch me? Kiss me? Make love to me?”
“Evan: “Yeah, why not?”

Oh man, this made me laugh and at the same time my heart was beating fast. God, how I wanted them to connect again with passion… okay, that’s enough of that scene. You will just have to read the book to find out what’s going on. J
Okay… one more scene:

“In your dreams!” I snapped, turning to the door.
“You’re seen my dreams, Baby. I don’t talk much there.”

Haha they crack me up!!

When Darkness Falls

Author: Brenda Franklin (Me! Yeah!)
Genre: Scary
Words: 9,790
Price: FREE

There’s a house, much like any other house, sitting at the end of an old road. Neighbors keep to themselves and yet are friendly enough to help if anything happens, but not for this house.

The windows are bared, the doors are locked on the outside, and the yard is one big trap. Signs are posted everywhere in warning as to the danger of crossing into the yard. Warnings of barbed wire fencing, electrical wire, and plenty of surprises that lie in wait within the tall grass.

What could possibly cause a person to do this to their own home? Is there a deranged psychopath lying in wait? A murderer keeping their victims locked away for safe keeping? Or, could something worse be trapped at the end of Cain Road? And what happens if it gets out?

Book Review: If I Stay

6990472
--------------Book Review----------

5/5

Living is hard. Sometimes taking that next breath after making a decision feels like you are going to explode, but you will undoubtedly make another hard choice within the next week, or month. I guess it also depends on your definition of a hard choice. Some people would say picking out a change of clothes would be hard or which answer sounds like the right one for a test. Others, it could be a relationship, a new house, the name of your first child, heck, the second or the third. Any of these can be hard. But I think the hardest is living. To wake up each day anew and to realize you will have to make all these choices again and again and again. Might drive some people mad and others it already has.

In this book, If I Stay, Gayle focuses on the good and the bad. She has a character, which I loved, who is quiet, knowledgeable, talented, and a lot of fun rolled up into one she is experiencing the worst possible thing the choice of life or death. To hang on and fight it or to slip away. How can anyone be made to choose this, let alone a 17 year old girl?

We join Mia over the course of a couple of days which gives us a glimpse into her life and shows us the people she loves and why. We get to experience the love of her family, her boyfriend, her best friend, and everyone in her life as she hangs on by a thread. But is it enough? She has lost her parents and the fate of her brother is uncertain. Can she stay without them? Can she leave Adam, her boyfriend behind?

Follow along and find out what Mia decides in this heart wrenching and emotional tale.
The characters are so dynamic. From Mia’s musically inclined father who played the drums for a local band, to her badass mother who gave birth to Melvins, and to Mia’s boyfriend, Adam who plays in the band Shooting Star. All of Gayle’s characters are different, and filled with life. A grandmother who sees her relatives as animals, a best friend who started out as an enemy, and plenty of avid characters who come in and out of the story. There wasn’t one person I didn’t fall in love with, nor think they weren’t real. Each person I could put a face to within my own life. That’s the kind of story that gets you attached, when you begin to see the faces of your family on theirs and you see their life play out before you.

A great trick to this book is getting you introduced to Mia’s family and then the accident happens. (SPOILER!!! Sorry.) Next thing we know Mia is standing around the crime scene looking for Teddy when she sees herself and realizes what is going on. Now from here we play the story both forward and backwards. As the next forty eight hours unfold throughout the books we share pieces of her past giving you insight into Mia and see that the decision she is making is not easy.

There will be heartbreak, a smiles, moments of laughing, and others where you are searching for the tissue box desperately so you can see and continue reading. But you will love and cherish it. Maybe not everyone because there are slow parts, but I know I loved it and I will definitely continue to recommend anyone to read this.
