My life has never been perfect. I lost, I lied, I cried. But there was one thing that I thought would stay with me forever — my love…
Adrian was my everything. The day he died, I died with him. It was like being caught up in a nightmare, with no reason to keep breathing, with nothing to hold on to.
But one day, everything changed. I didn’t know I was lost until the moment Nic found me. He made me laugh, he made me feel, he made me believe that I could love again. I thought I would never feel alive, but then I looked into his eyes and I was lost. Only this time, it was not a nightmare swallowing me, but a beautiful dream coming true.
Just when I thought there was no hope for tomorrow, my heart found a reason to beat faster…

In
Your Eyes is
a romance about moving on, but more than that it is about living life to
the fullest, forgiving yourself, and letting people into your heart. To allow yourself to love again. It’s the perfect
book to get around the holiday.
You start the
book off with Adrian, a man who has just been given the devastating
news that he is going to die sooner than he would like. He’s
engaged and ready to start his life, not lose it. What has he done to
the world to deserve this? How can he continue, but he does. Diana
shows us a character going through the stages of denial and facing
his own mortally. It is painful, tragic, and oddly enough, moving. By
the end he has found a way to move on.
And that’s just
with in the first 30 pages! Yep, I cried. God, I hate/love when Diana pulls the emotion out of a reader like that. But you have to keep reading to find out how it will all play out.
The rest of the
book is focused on two years later featuring Emily, the woman that
expected to spend the rest of her life with Adrian, and her brother’s
newest employee, Nic, who is walking a dangerous line wanting Emily.
The chemistry between them is tempting. But with a little
misunderstanding between them their relationship starts of a little
rocky.
While overcoming events of the past and dealing with her best
friend’s memory loss in the present, who has time to think about
the future? Emily just wants to sooth the pain and fill the void in
her chest; the one person she wants to turn to is Nic. Granted,
she’s his boss’s sister, but hell if he cares. And I love him for
that. You go get her!
Can they find
their Happy Ending?
SPOILERS!
Yes, they can!
The character
banter is hilarious and the scenarios are fast pace. It’s an easy
read that shouldn’t take you more than a few hours. I know, I
couldn’t put it down. If you love a good romance (bikers, chicks in
leather, and dirty mouths) you’re in the right place. Look no
further. :)
And, if you loved
this book then you will love Kassie’s story, Love Undone. I recommend
reading them one right after the other. You can see all sides of the
story. Great job, Diana!
